It was a beautiful night at the lake to shoot a perfect baby bump! Had such a great time with little Emma as she twirled and danced in front of the camera, as proud soon-to-be big sister should!

Garrett & Karla – Edmonton Maternity Photo Session
Remember that freezing cold week a month back?  With wind chill it was around -46 Celsius.  Well this was the week of Garrett and Karla's outdoor sunrise, maternity session.  There was one day where it was supposed to warm up a bit and we had everything planned.  I was all bundled up ready to leave the house when Karla phoned me.  All I heard was pain- in a panting, breathless voice... "Karla are you in labour?!" "No, I just have back spasms so painful I can barely breathe, let alone get into the truck. I've been trying for 20 minutes. Davies Family – Edmonton Film Photography Session
The Davies family have a love for the art of film photography.  They approached us to see if we would shoot their family session with a few film shots and the more we thought about it, we thought let's make the jump and shoot it all on film. We love shooting film, but have never shot an entire session on film before. As unnatural as it felt to leave all our digital photography gear at home, it was so refreshing to simplify our bag with a few rolls of film and a few old cameras.  We photographed this session with a mix of 35mm, 120mm, and even a roll of expired film from 1974.  It really brought me back to why I love to shoot film - it makes y ...
