Stephanie & Alex – Edmonton Spring Blossoms Maternity Photography

maternity

Wedding season is coming to a close, so I actually have time to catch up on some blogging! Every time I look back on Stephanie and Alex’s maternity photography session, I can’t believe we captured it just in the nick of time! We were holding out for the cherry trees to fill Edmonton with those beautiful spring blossoms. Baby William ended up coming a month early, so we JUST captured Stephanie’s baby bump before it was gone 2 days later. I had such a great time with this adventurous couple who wasn’t afraid to climb steep inclines and dip their toes in the cold North Saskatchewan River. So happy for this beautiful couple and now family.

Baby D: A birth story – Sherwood Park Birth Photography
I got the opportunity to experience a birth from the outside... to not be the one in labour but rather with the exciting job of documenting the whole beautiful story through a mix of film and digital photography.  I was a bit nervous heading there as I thought I would be quite faint watching the whole thing and it would be a good way to persuade me from not wanting anymore children... but quite the opposite happened - I loved it! I was so excited the whole time, as excited as if it was my child about to be born!  I nearly cried when I heard that little baby cry.  I was on edge the whole time, expecting the baby to arrive any second.  At one p ...
