Davies Family – Edmonton Film Photography Session

family

The Davies family have a love for the art of film photography.  They approached us to see if we would shoot their family session with a few film shots and the more we thought about it, we thought let’s make the jump and shoot it all on film. We love shooting film, but have never shot an entire session on film before. As unnatural as it felt to leave all our digital photography gear at home, it was so refreshing to simplify our bag with a few rolls of film and a few old cameras.  We photographed this session with a mix of 35mm, 120mm, and even a roll of expired film from 1974.  It really brought me back to why I love to shoot film – it makes you slow down… and focus on each individual moment. Thanks Davies for the inspiring session we had with your beautiful family.

L’Heureux Family – Fall Maternity Session
These photos don't show it, but this was one of coldest fall maternity photography sessions I've had all year in Edmonton.  Despite the chill, this L'Heureux family was great to work with and still managed to make some magic happen! Doesn't she have the perfect pregnant bump? Can't wait to meet your little girl! And when all else fails and you need some pics of just mommy and daddy...

James & Diana
This good looking couple just happens to be my aunt and uncle! Often couples have little to no photos together, besides when they get engaged/married.  James and Diana wanted a few shots of just the two of them, which I think is great after being married as long as they have! I love doing couples photography.

3 + 1 = 4 Fergusons – Family Maternity Session
Slipped this maternity family photography session in - just days before the arrival of their baby boy.  Little Blythe was a trooper with all the mosquito bites she got, and Mommy and Daddy did a great job of workin it!  Congrats on your beautiful family!
