Lemmens Family – An old carnival family session – Fort Edmonton Park
What a fun night! We spent the warm summer evening with the Lemmens family at the Fort Edmonton Park Carnival. We were really hoping to go on the ferris wheel and take some great shots, but the little ones were too short to ride. :( Not to worry though; they got their fill of rides, prizes, and candy. Not to mention... GIANT lollipops!! What kid wouldn't want to come to a photo session when it's this much fun? Thanks for the great night Lemmens family! I truly got to feel like a little kid again being at the carnival. What a perfect family you have - glad we could capture some beautiful memories.
Baby D: A birth story – Sherwood Park Birth Photography
I got the opportunity to experience a birth from the outside... to not be the one in labour but rather with the exciting job of documenting the whole beautiful story through a mix of film and digital photography. I was a bit nervous heading there as I thought I would be quite faint watching the whole thing and it would be a good way to persuade me from not wanting anymore children... but quite the opposite happened - I loved it! I was so excited the whole time, as excited as if it was my child about to be born! I nearly cried when I heard that little baby cry. I was on edge the whole time, expecting the baby to arrive any second. At one p ...
Van Sylke Family – Edmonton Family Photographer
I got the pleasure of sharing in some family time with the Van Sylke family. We played, kicked the ball around, fished with sticks, soaked up that summer evening warmth, and oh yeah - I got to take photos. Their children are an absolute joy to be around and it was so great to capture some of their special moments together.

Levi – Nautical Newborn Session – Sherwood Park Newborn Photographer
I'm a proud Auntie!! The arrival of our first nephew has us elevated on a spoiling high! I never knew how hard it could be, to not buy every adorable piece of newborn boy clothing out there.
Levi's room was decorated with a whale theme long before he arrived. Didn't Jayme do a gorgeous job on Levi's room? She even handmade the most delicate rain mobile, which hangs over his crib. So when it came time for his newborn session I thought it would be awesome to go all out with a nautical theme. We got everyone to pitch in - my husband handcrafted a wooden whale for his wall, Grandpa made a boat, anchor, & fish, Grandma painted it all, an ...
Matt & Jayme – Airdrie Maternity Photographer
How could I not love shooting this maternity photographer session? Matt & Jayme are up for anything. I had a few ideas I wanted to try and they were totally game. When we got to this beautiful old tree location there was a steep hill of sheer ice... I didn't think it would be safe to climb up, but they did it! Matt helped her up and then Jayme slid back the entire way down; pregnant and all. (note: highly not recommended for pregnant women ;) Baby Levi is going to be one tough guy like his Momma! Congrats!

Hailey – Sherwood Park Cake Smash Photographer
This little doll turned one and celebrated with a load of sugar. Her mom made the beautiful cupcake confetti smash cake and I think Hailey liked it. :) Hailey even got to destroy the balloon background when we were done taking photos. I love doing first birthday cake smash photography - one year olds are so much fun.
Sherwood Park Cake Smash Photographer
This family is near and dear to our hearts. I recently came across their Beaumont family photography session and although this blog post is long overdue; I had to share it. Amanda did such a wonderful wall gallery of their photos; I loved her decision to go with framed prints and canvas. A beautiful family, now with a beautiful wall! :)
I absolutely love when we get to document couple's lives. Since the moment these two got engaged, we have been privileged to photograph their special moments in life - and am proud to call them friends! Meet their newest addition - the beautiful Gabrielle!
I had the pleasure of photographing two sisters who happen to be pregnant at the same time. They wanted to cherish their precious moments together with a splash of awkward 80s portraits. These two are amazing; it takes confidence to showcase your true beauty through the awkward photo lens. I hope your Christmas is filled with lots of snuggling by the fire, belly patting, whispering secrets to each other, and braiding each other's hair.
